Defensive backs, learn the two most important keys for cover two or cover four against a shotgun doubles formation: where the running back is aligned and which receiver is on the line of scrimmage. Knowing the running back's position will help you anticipate the run or the run-pass option (RPO), and identifying who is on the line of scrimmage signals which receiver is likely to run a deeper route.
